Interior Designer

Determine client goals & requirements for the project; consider the space planning, layout & use, design interior environments or create physical layouts that are practical, aesthetic, conducive to the intended purposes, and compliant with applicable building codes/ inspection regulations/other considerations e.g. accessibility standards; sketch design plans, including electrical & partition layouts; draw, read & edit blueprints and 3D renderings using CAD to effectively communicate design concepts/ideas; research new materials, technologies, products & concepts to incorporate into designs & advise client on issues influencing designs; recommend materials & furnishings; determine project scope, design schedule and estimate project materials & costs; coordinate with general contractors as needed to implement the plans & specifications for the project; visit the project site as needed to ensure adherence to the design plans & client satisfaction; maintain current knowledge of interior design trends, materials, developments & building codes/regulations.
